Chia Seed Pudding

Health Fun Fact

Chia seeds are crazy healthy! They’re a great way of getting your fibre in if you’re looking for extra ways to eat fibre (which tbh everyone should be doing), and a great source of antioxidants (antioxidants fight free radicals in the body which cause cellular damage). They’re also high in Manganese, Magnesium, protein, and Omega-3 fatty acids!

Chia seed pudding is honestly one of my favourite go-to snacks or breakfast! It’s so simple to make, super healthy, and delicious! It is a little annoying that you have to prep them the night before, but I normally prep a few jars when I’m making it so I have some in my fridge ready to go for whenever I feel like having it!

They’re also so fun and customizable! In the past I’ve added peanut butter, cacao powder, matcha powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup/honey… be fun and experiment with it!

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/2 cup milk (I love using organic whole or raw milk, but dairy-free milk works too)

  • Optional: any of the additional mix-ins I mentioned above!

Instructions:

  1. Add the chia seeds, nut milk, and any other mix-ins to a jar or container

  2. Mix it all around with a spoon

  3. Store in the fridge overnight

  4. Enjoy the next day with your favourite toppings! I like to cut up some fruit and add some granola to mine 😊
