Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

On top of being delicious, this smoothie uses raw cacao powder so it contains a bunch of vitamins and minerals! If you didn’t know, cacao is different than cocoa. Cocoa powder has been processed by high heat, while raw cacao powder is the closest form to pure cacao available. Raw cacao is very rich is flavonoids, a plant-based antioxidant which is shown to reduce tiredness, improve heart health, and regulate blood pressure! On top of that, it’s high in fibre, protein, potassium and magnesium!

Calling all chocolate lovers, this one’s for you! Nothing satisfies a sweet tooth craving on a hot summer day like a Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl! I was feeling something cold and chocolatey and this smoothie bowl really hit spot


Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana + half a raw banana

  • 1 date

  • 2 tbsp greek yogurt

  • 1/4 cup milk (the quantity may vary depending on the consistency you want)

  • 1 tbsp natural peanut butter/almond butter

Toppings:

  • goji berries

  • bee pollen

  • cacao nibs

  • coconut flakes

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients together - adjust ingredients according to desired consistency, add more milk if not liquidy enough, add more ice cubes or yogurt if too liquidy

  2. Blend all ingredients together, add toppings and enjoy!
