Healthy Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are made with almond flour and sweetened with maple syrup, which means that they have a much lower glycemic index than traditional chocolate chip cookies so they won’t spike your blood sugar or insulin levels!! Thats means no sugar crash and subsequent sugar cravings after eating them!

These paleo, refined-sugar free chocolate chip cookies are so gooey and delicious, they have a permanent place in my dessert rotation! Be sure to give these a try next time you want a healthy and delicious treat!


Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup melted organic butter

  • 1/3 cup almond butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp almond milk

  • 1 cup + 3 tbsp almond flour

  • 1 tbsp coconut flour

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon 

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (try to buy chocolate chips with as few ingredients as possible)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. Add all the wet ingredients to a bowl, then mix together

  3. Add all the dry ingredients in except for chocolate chips, and mix it all together

  4. Fold in the chocolate chips

  5. Optional step: eat cookie batter because it’s delicious (and won’t make your stomach hurt like other cookie dough since it’s made using almond flour hehe)

  6. Place cookies onto baking sheet covered with parchment paper (makes about a dozen cookies or less depending on how much cookie dough you eat hehe)

  7. Bake for 11-12 minutes

  8. Take out of the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and enjoy!! 💛
